Biography: Brajlal Verman

Mr. Brajlal Verman was born in 1893. Even when a young boy his irrepressible energy and enthusiasm for public service was marked. At the age of thirteen he began delivering public speeches. In 1905 he formed "Jatiya Sabha" and addressed meetings advocating Swadeshi.

He is the founder of many social religious associations, and worked whole-heartedly for the welfare of humanity.

He joined the Congress in 1906 and has been rendering valuable service to the country. He has courted imprisonment five times, and has dedicated his life to he service of his motherland. He became the Vice President of the Provincial Congress Committee, and a member of the A.I.C.C. from 1922. he is popularly known as the founder of the Congress in Muttra District.

A patriot by birth, a Hakim by profession, and a political by environments. Mr. Verman is also a linguist. He is a scholar in English, Hindi, Urdu, Persian, Gujarati and Bengali languages.
