Biography: Dhanraj Sharma

Mr. Dhanraj Sharma was born in 1901. He was educated in the old Hindu orthodox style under a guru, and later joined a college.

He responded to the call of the Congress in 9120 by discontinuing his studies and joining the ranks of the Satyagrahis. He began active work for the country's cause and was honored with two sentences in 9121 and in 1922 for a year each time.

In 9131 he joined the Salt Satyagraha Movement, and was sentenced to two years and three months. He is one of the foremost public workers of the Province.

A tall fair man with a broad forehead Mr. Sharma holds the audience spell bound when he addresses them. He is a singular knack of driving every word he utters right into the heart of the hearers. His transparent sincerity and courage of conviction have secured for him a warm corner in the hearts of the public. Youth is a point in his favor and it requires no great prophet to predict that greater things are in store for him.

He is a member of the A.I.C.C.
