Koodalasangam (a.k.a. Kudalasangam) is situated at the confluence of rivers Krishna and Malaprabha in Hungund taluk of Bagalkot district in Karnataka state. It is away by seven kilometers from National Highway 13. It is one of the most ancient pilgrimage centers, having been an great agrahara (center of learning) for centuries.

Basaveshwara , the great saint, poet, and social reformer who launched a crusade against the exploitations of downtrodden and tried to a create society devoid of classes and castes in the  12th century had received spiritual inspiration and training for the splendid ideas and achievements at this holy center. In fact the town is most famous as the ending stanza of Basaweshwara's poems ("Koodalasangamadeva").

The temple of Koodalasangam where the presiding deity is Kudalasangameshwara, and Aikya Mantap where Basaveshwara attained merger with Lord are now protected from submergence of backwater of Basavasagar of Narayanpur dam.
