Nandalal Bose
Nandalal Bose (1883 - 1966)

The paintings of Nandalal Bose are considered among India's best modern paintings by many critics. Influenced by the Tagore family (he ran the art department of Shantiniketan) and the murals of Ajanta, his classic works include paintings of scenes from Indian mythologies, women, and village life.
